My flock is 1st and second import from 3 different breeders including one directly from Greenfire. Rooster is 1st import over 2nd import hens.

The  Isbar is a rare, relatively new breed, that was developed in the 1950s in Sweden, by the Catholic monk, Martin Silverudd. It is a single combed green egg layer, that was meant to be a productive breed and the hens are excellent layers, laying around 200+ large eggs (of various shades of green) a year. They are a smallish breed and is fairly cold hardy. They have a relatively docile temperament, are thrifty easy keepers, and are good foragers.

There are several varieties and colors of Isbar including the beautiful Blue Isbar variety that was imported into the US, which comes in the usual Blue, Black and Splash coloring. The Isbar was originally planned as an auto-sexing breed, but not all colors lend themselves to this. Breeds believed to have gone into the development of the Isbar include Rhode Island Reds, New Hampshire Reds and Cream Legbars.

They are not recognised by the APA.

Please, note that hatch rate and fertility rates are 2 different things. Hatch rates can vary widely depend on the post offices handling of your eggs in transit and your incubation method. I do not guarantee hatch rate. I hand deliver to the post office just before the truck leaves for sorting facility, once they left my hands I can no longer be responsible for the condition of shipped eggs. Eggs can be held at the post office for your pickup. This is a good idea if you live in an area with very hot or cold weather. It may increase hatch rate. If you would like to do this I need your local post office address and your phone number so they can contact you upon the eggs arrival. NPIP FL 3525930720 Fancy chicken breeds farm on FB
